Bio:
LANY started as a spark in Nashville back in 2014, but quickly found its heartbeat in the restless glow of Los Angeles and New York—hence the name, a simple nod to those cities that shaped their sound. Paul Klein, the frontman with a voice like a late-night confession, and drummer Jake Goss, who keeps the pulse steady through every ache, formed the core after their keyboardist Les Priest stepped away in 2022 to chase production dreams in Nashville. What began with raw EPs scribbled in hotel rooms exploded with their self-titled debut in 2017, tracks like "ILYSB" wrapping heartbreak in shimmering synths that felt like driving alone at 2 a.m. From Malibu Nights in 2018, capturing those endless summer regrets, to the tender punches of Mama's Boy (2020) and the vulnerable hope in gg bb xx (2021) and a beautiful blur (2023), they've built a world where pop rock meets dream pop in the quiet spaces of longing. Now, as they gear up for their sixth album Soft dropping October 10, 2025—ten tracks teased with a cryptic "it's time to start acting like LANY again"—fans are buzzing about that raw return to roots, especially with shows locked in Mumbai and San Isidro on the horizon. LANY's music has always been a soft landing for the bruised hearts, lyrics that whisper you're not alone in the mess, turning personal storms into anthems that echo across oceans, reminding us that even in the blur, there's beauty in just feeling it all.
