Bio:
Hailing from Seoul, South Korea, DAY6 burst onto the K-pop scene in 2015 under JYP Entertainment with their debut EP The Day, hitting number two on Billboard’s World Albums Chart. Known for their self-produced pop-rock sound, the band—originally a six-piece with Junhyeok and Jae—blends heartfelt ballads and hard-hitting anthems. Their 2017 project Every Day6 saw them drop two songs every month, resulting in albums like Sunrise and Moonrise, with tracks like “You Were Beautiful” becoming fan favorites. After Junhyeok left in 2016 and Jae in 2021, the quartet—Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon—kept pushing forward, even through military service hiatuses from 2021 to 2023. Their 2024 album Fourever and 2025’s Band Aid with hits like “Melt Down” earned them their first real-time all-kill on Korean charts. With over 600,000 Instagram followers and streams soaring on Spotify and Apple Music, DAY6’s raw emotion and DIY ethos have made them South Korea’s beloved “Nation’s Band,” resonating with fans worldwide.
