Born Bianca Miquela Landrau on August 16, 1991, in Medford, Massachusetts, BIA is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and model of Puerto Rican and Italian descent. Known for her bold trap and reggaetón-infused hip-hop, she debuted on Oxygen's Sisterhood of Hip Hop (2014-2015). Discovered on YouTube by Fam-Lay, she signed to Pharrell's I Am Other label with RCA Records in 2014, releasing her mixtape #CholaSeason and EP Nice Girls Finish Last: Cuidado (2018). After leaving RCA in 2019, she dropped "One Minute Warning" independently, then signed with Epic Records in 2020. Her EP For Certain (2020) featured "Whole Lotta Money," a double-platinum remix with Nicki Minaj that hit number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
