DISC 2 TRACK 2 Lyrics – J. Cole | from “The Fall-Off”
In the quiet hours before dawn, when reflections hit hardest, J. Cole has a way

J. Cole‘s The Fall-Off is his long-awaited seventh studio album, finally set to release on February 6, 2026. It’s coming through Cole World, Inc. and Interscope Records and Interscope, just like his recent projects. The album’s been teased since 2018 when “1985 (Intro to ‘The Fall Off’)” closed out KOD, and Cole’s referenced it in lyrics and interviews over the years as a reflection on fame’s rise-and-fall cycle, staying grounded, and maybe even wrapping up his career arc—though he’s made it clear he’s not retiring.
Announcement dropped January 14, 2026, with a trailer showing Cole in everyday life (washing his car, hitting Waffle House) over narration about how fame fades naturally, no big drama needed. Cover art is an old pic of his messy studio setup. It might be a double-disc thing—Cole posted a snippet labeled “Disc 2 — Track 2” right after announcing. No full tracklist out yet, but expect that classic Cole production (he’s executive producing with folks like T-Minus and Ibrahim Hamad), introspective bars, and possibly some older material reworked. Pre-orders for vinyl (including a “Stealth Edition” first pressing) are up now.
This follows The Off-Season in 2021 and the Might Delete Later mixtape in 2024. Fans are hyped since it’s been five years since a proper album, and the February date lines up with his Fayetteville roots (2-6 for February 6).
