Cavetown‘s upcoming album “Running With Scissors” is set to release on January 16, 2026. It’s his fourth full-length studio album and marks his first project under the new label Futures Music Group (a joint venture between Neon Gold and Avenue A Records). Distribution is handled by Warner Music Group/Virgin Records for physical formats in many regions, while digital rollout is across all major platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp. The 13-track album runs about 35 minutes and was mostly self-produced by Robin Skinner (Cavetown), with contributions from producers like Couros and David Pramik.
So far, four singles have been released: “Baby Spoon,” “Rainbow Gal,” “Tarmac” (co-written with Orla Gartland), and the latest “NPC” (dropped November 14, 2025). The album also features chloe moriondo on the track “Sailboat.” It’s deeply personal, touching on love, family (including his much younger sibling), identity, and healing over the past couple of years.
Pre-orders are live now with vinyl, CD, cassette, and merch bundles available. A huge world tour kicks off in early 2026 to support the release, covering UK, Europe, Asia, and North America.
