Lacuna Lyrics & Tracklist - The Church
The Church’s upcoming album Lacuna is their latest studio release, set for February 6, 2026, through Cooking Vinyl. It’s the follow-up to Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars from 2024, recorded in May 2024 in Austin, Texas right before a US tour. Distribution will be standard digital on Spotify, Apple Music, etc., with vinyl confirmed as a double LP—pre-orders should be available soon via their site or retailers.
The tracklist has 17 songs: Lumbini Grove, Western, Ferrari, Sky River, Winter, Have You Been Here Before, Lemurian, Everytime, Sky and Hill, Paladin, Martian Skyline, I Want It, The Place of Eternal Spring, Rapture, Forever, Lumbini Theme / Reprise, and Sacred Echoes (which had a Part Two single/video out in November 2025 as a teaser). Steve Kilbey described it as having an “American-sounding” vibe influenced by Austin, not a concept album like the previous ones, focusing on that sense of absence or gap (lacuna means a missing part or empty space). Expect their signature dreamy, psychedelic rock with guitars and introspective lyrics.
No full rollout details yet beyond the single, but with their Singles Tour happening around then (including Aussie dates in early Feb), it’ll probably tie in. If you’re into their later-era stuff like The Hypnogogue, this should feel like a natural progression.
