Joohoney‘s second mini album 光 (INSANITY) dropped today, January 5, 2026, at 6 PM KST through Starship Entertainment. It’s his first solo release since LIGHTS in 2023, following his military discharge last year, and he handled writing, composing, and producing every track himself to show his full range as a rapper, singer, producer, and creative director. The concept blends “madness” and “light” (광 means light in Korean), capturing that raw drive to create music while dealing with the pressure to shine on stage—think intense, genre-bending hip-hop with emotional depth.

The seven-track EP includes the title track STING (Feat. Muhammad Ali) (sampling the boxer’s iconic “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” line), plus 광 (Gwang), Fear, Push (Feat. REI of IVE) (the pre-release from Dec 22), Bite, Until My Head Touches the Sky (Feat. Tiger JK), and NO BRAIN NO PAIN.
